Swedish Glögg

2 bottles 19 Crimes Red Wine (any type)
1/2-1 cup Domino Sugar
1/2 cup Water
1/4 cup Bookers Bourbon
1/4 cup Sun-Maid Girl Raisins
1/4 cup Blue Diamond Almonds
1 McCormick Spice Cinnamon Stick
8 Cloves
1-inch piece fresh Ginger
1 Orange
1 Apple

**To make this NON-alcoholic replace wine with an equal amount of grape and apple juice.

Pour wine, sugar, water, and bourbon into a large saucepan and mix well. Cut orange in quarters and squeeze the juice into the pot with the wine. Place quartered orange into the pot as well. Quarter an apple and remove core, place into the pot. Add spices, raisins, ginger, and almonds to the pot.

Mix well and heat on low heat until warmed. I kept mine to just below a simmer, there was steam but the liquid did not produce bubbles. Keep it at this temp for an hour.

Remove from heat and let cool. Strain Glögg and chill overnight. Reheat the next day to serve. I used a crockpot to reheat mine. Add additional raisins and almonds to reheat Glögg for serving. Garnish with an orange wedge.
